Designed To Meet
Memory care at Prospect Park is designed for those living with Alzheimer’s or other forms of dementia. The memory care neighborhood is in a controlled-access area created to accommodate those who become easily disoriented or have a tendency to wander. Residents live in their own private apartments with private baths, but gather for meals and activities in family style dining and living rooms. A serene outdoor garden courtyard, specially designed for those with memory loss surrounds the community.
Prospect Park’s memory care neighborhood is a welcoming area decorated with calming colors, accessible spaces and soft furniture. Gentle lighting helps to lessen the anxiety that people living with memory loss often feel. Our residents living in the memory care neighborhood find that it is low-stress and comfortable. Spa tub rooms are also available. Staff is on-site 24 hours every day providing support.
At Ebenezer, our staff works directly with residents—helping them participate in daily activities, encouraging socialization, and providing ability-appropriate activities for them to engage in. All caregivers who work with our dementia patients are trained to deal with issues related to Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia.
