Memory Care
Designed To Meet
Specific Needs

Memory care at Prospect Park is designed for those living with Alzheimer’s or other forms of dementia. The memory care neighborhood is in a controlled-access area created to accommodate those who become easily disoriented or have a tendency to wander. Residents live in their own private apartments with private baths, but gather for meals and activities in family style dining and living rooms. A serene outdoor garden courtyard, specially designed for those with memory loss surrounds the community.

The Pillars of Prospect Park’s memory care neighborhood is a welcoming area decorated with calming colors, accessible spaces and soft furniture. We are one of the few communities in the country offering circadian lighting, which is designed to allow residents exposure to lighting that matches the natural progression of daylight. Memory care residents benefit from increased alertness, improved mood, reduced hyperactivity, improved sleep and faster cognitive processing. Staff is on-site 24 hours every day providing support.

All caregivers who work with our dementia patients are trained to deal with issues related to Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. Our caregivers can care for your loved one as their needs change and increase. Some may find our Memory Care in Minneapolis as a good alternative to living in a nursing home.
